Traumata Doom Pop from Naarm/Melbourne

KÖMUNE is a doom‑tinted electronic project born out of dislocation and refusal. We write from the bleak edges of late civilisation, exorcising fear through collaborative noise, spectral storytelling, and songs that feel like cautionary tales cracked open and repurposed as healing rituals. Our work lives where dark electronica, doom pop, and hurt gospel blur into sonic poetry, psychosocial babble and sideways protest.

Our debut EP, Concrete Serpentine, sinks into hardened relational toxicity, looping through rage, revenge and tentative redemption, while Joe Jackson’s Steppin’ Out (1982) hurls solipsistic pop back into the strange intimacy of a newborn’s first listening experience. Monstrous Ephemeral extends the spiral into lateral violence and cosmic play‑fighting, where spectral figures make a stand inside broken games and we sing, not because we are brave, but because we don’t know how else to move through the rubble.

KÖMUNE live and create on the lands of the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people of the Kulin Nation. Sovereignty was never ceded. We pay our respects to Elders past and present. Always was, always will be.
